Ryumon-nuri was born from the technique of papermaking and watercolor painting in Tsugaru, Aomori Prefecture, the northeast region of Japan.
Tsugaru is a cold region where the lacquer does not dry well, and the colors often need to improve.
Then the unique layered coating technique in lacquer painting was created.
The marbled pattern on this product, combined with the finish of domestic lacquer, makes this product a fantastic gem with color.
