Title
This is a collaborative product between SAILOR and the SATELLITE CRAYON PROJECT, which creates "crayons of ocean" from colors found in satellite imagery of Earth.

Eleuthera Island
This fountain pen reproduces the colors of the sea west of Eleuthera Island, Bahamas, with colors extracted from the coordinates 24.98503, -76.36213. The body color and the original colors of the cap and tail finials, which represent the ooids (small, spherical grains of calcium carbonate) found in the local sea, are unique to this model.

The Bahama Islands, to which Eleuthera belongs, are a collection of nearly 700 islands and 2,400 large rocks, mostly made of coral reefs. Near the shallow waters of these coral reefs, there is a suddenly deep area known as the "Tongue of the Ocean." The complex currents created by this difference in depth, along with the pure white sand rich in ooids, give rise to beautiful patterns and vibrant colors.

SAILOR/SATELLITE CRAYON PROJECT
From the 12 colors in the "ocean crayons" collection, three were chosen for the fountain pen and ink collaboration: Eleuthera Island, Amami Oshima (the color of the sea off Amami Oshima in Japan), and Syvash (which reproduces the shallow, briny waters of the western shore of the Sea of Azov).

Enjoy the richness of the ocean's real-world colors, reproduced in this fountain pen and ink, along with the story of the place they came from.
