Something Blue Pen Cases (water-repellent finish), BUNGUBOX x yurie

Our most recent fountain pen release, "Something Blue", was based off of our original ink "June Bride Something Blue."

We asked yurie to produce a pen cases to match this blue, and she came up with 9 different pen cases using a beautiful grape-vine patterned kimono fabric!

For the lining, she used a gold fabric sewn with a vermillion red thread, and for the cord, she offers two different colors - orange or blue-green. These accents further enhance the beautiful blue outer fabric.

This time, both the front and the lining have been treated with a water-repellent finish, so you can simply wipe off any moisture for easy care.

It is too bad that the softness of the fabric and the beauty of the silk luster cannot be fully conveyed in photos.

What is a grape-vine pattern?

Grapes are considered to be a symbol of success and a good omen. This comes from the way they wrap their vines around everything around them, symbolizing how they "bring others together to bear wonderful fruit". The grape is also a symbol of prosperity, fertility, and good fortune, as it bears many fruits from a single vine.
