Inkwell “Calvados”
Calvados is a type of brandy made from apples, most famously from Normandy, France.
It can be served between courses, or enjoyed as a digestif after a nice dinner.
Although it has an alcohol content of over 40%, it is characterized by its mellow apple aroma and rich flavor.
The inspiration for this inkwell came from an aperitif glass used to enjoy a very special meal.
The design was brought to life by “Kimura Glass”, a famous Japanese glassware brand that sourced the production at a skilled stemware manufacturer in Hungary.
The precision-fit lid, which looks as if an apple is perched on the opening to keep its contents from evaporating, is what makes this inkwell stand out from anything else of its kind.
“What ink shall I pour tonight…”
Gently remove the lid, pour some of your favorite ink, and let your pen take a delicate sip,
as if you were savoring a leisurely after-dinner moment...
