"Kinka - Kotonoha"
Taking a left out of the Jimbocho subway station and walking down the busy street of the used bookstore district, you will come upon a quiet street.
The name of the street is “Kinka-dori (street)”
The Kinka Elementary School (now Ochanomizu ES), where the famous Japanese writer Soseki Natsume studied, is located on this street.
As you walk past the school, you will soon see a hanging metal sign of a red fountain pen nib.
This is where BUNGUBOX is.
The japanese word for “words”, Kotoba, is composed of two characters - “spoken” 言, and “leaf, or leaves” 葉.
This pen combines these two concepts - the name of the street we are located on, which has a great literary tradition, and the origin of the Japanese word of “word” - “spoken leaves”.
It is our mission to spread and preserve the culture of handwriting with fountain pens.
This pen, “Kinka - Kotonoha,” was produced with such a wish in mind.

The golden glitter scattered in the barrel represents sparkling “words” dancing in the air.
The cap ring also has engravings of leaves, symbolizing the origin of the Japanese word for "words" - our spoken words dancing through the air like leaves blowing in the wind.
