Year of the Horse, Wajima maki-e TWSBI ECO

2026 is the year of the horse.

Aside from the 12 animal cycle, there is a 10 element sub-cycle, which makes this year the year of the Hinoe-Uma, or the "Fire Horse".

This is a combination that only comes around once every 60 years, symbolizing "progress" and "success".  It is said to be a vibrant year where new roads are paved and opportunities created.

"The Year of the Horse", TWSBI ECO version

The image on this ECO is that of a powerful, yet beautiful white horse, adorned with an elegant saddle.

The "Yagasuri" (arrow feathers) pattern at the top of the cap symbolizes forward movement that pierces through obstacles and leads one to their ultimate goals.  It is a symbol that amplifies the forward-moving energy of this white horse.

On the barrel are overlapping Temari (balls), symbolizing eternity, progress, and prosperity with its continuous checkered pattern, called Ichimatsu Monyou.

With alternating checkers left blank, you get to add your own decoration with the color of the ink you fill the pen with!
